Created in Alberta in the Okotoks region south of Calgary in the 1960/70's ~ these creations depict traditional life in times gone by in either the Siksika Nation (Blackfoot ) , or the Stoney Nakoda ( Assinaboine ) Nations. These models are created in fine detail , right down to the designs on the mocassins , and are made of Terra Cotta for the two individual figures ,, and perhaps carved from stone in the two family oriented sculptures ~ which weigh around 10 lbs each and measure 15" tall x 12" long and 8" wide .So quite large and substantial art pieces . All in very good condition after 70 plus years , and quite a rarity to find . ~$ 65 each for the two large pieces , and $35 each for the smaller ones .
