$89 · Vintage Longquan Celadon Chinese Brush Washer Double Dragons Artwork Signed

Here is a lovely, small vintage Celadon brush washer from China. The Longquan mark is centred on the bottom of the small piece. This item measures 4" in diameter, and stands just under 2" high. The brush washer weighs 178 g. The colour is strikingly pure and clear celadon green, lighter towards the edges of the piece. A double dragon motif is embossed around the belly of the small vessel. Note the story told in this exceptionally detailed artwork - the dragons' claws are grasping at the lotus pod, symbol of purity and enlightenment. The white porcelain base shows little wear or abrasion. There is no crackling on the piece. This is a beautiful sample of vintage Chinese Celadon. It is a highly collectible, rare item.
