We are currently seeking an experienced Production General Manager (NOC 00015) to oversee and enhance our production and logistics operations, which constitute 80% of our activities. This role involves managing production output, optimizing logistics and supply chain functions, and implementing strategies to boost efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Oversight - Develop, implement and oversee strategic plans, policies, and procedures for production and logistics to optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality. - Establish production and logistics objectives that support overall business goals. - Monitor industry trends and implement best practices to improve both production operations and supply chain management. Team Leadership and Development - Work with HR to recruit, train, and retain skilled employees, managers and supervisors, ensuring that team capabilities meet production and logistics needs. - Set and track team KPIs, encouraging continuous improvement and fostering professional growth. - Effectively manage the company’s production and logistics operations through the leadership of middle managers. Budget and Resource Management - Manage production and logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. - Collaborate with procurement to align inventory and materials with production schedules, minimizing costs. - Facilitate coordination across departments. - Monitor projects for financial performance and contract compliance; - Represent the company in negotiations with suppliers and logistics providers to streamline the supply chain, manage costs, and minimize disruptions. - Develop production schedules and resource plans that optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization. Continuous Improvement and Innovation - Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies, implementing innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge. - Lead initiatives to streamline workflow, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity in production and logistics. Customer Satisfaction and Service Fulfillment - Ensure production and logistics schedules are aligned with client orders and deadlines, meeting or exceeding customer expectations for product quality and timely delivery. - Manage production and delivery priorities based on client specifications and sales forecasts, adjusting resources and timelines as needed.
