The Butchart Gardens - Food Services Cooks and Dishwashers

Department: Food Services Positions: 2nd & 3rd Cooks, Dishwashers The Butchart Garden’s Food Services Department is looking for creative and driven individuals for the Blue Poppy and Pastry Kitchens. The positions available range from Dishwashers, 2nd Cooks, and 3rd Cooks. These are seasonal full-time positions starting in April through the summer season with the possibility of extending into the fall. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications and demonstrated attributes: • Food Safe certification • Strong work ethic and ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner • Able to assist in other areas of the kitchen as directed • Strong organizational and excellent communication skills • Ability to work well under high volume dynamic circumstances • Positive and outgoing personality • Prior food services or culinary experience is an asset These are seasonal positions offering 35-40 hours per week from April to September. This position includes shift work, weekend work and occasional overtime Wages starting from $19.76. Remuneration will commensurate with the level of responsibility and qualifications of the applicant and applications will be accepted until the successful candidates are found.
